Merchant West has a specialised government division, with an extensive understanding of the RSA public sector and an established footprint within government. Unique to Merchant West, is a Qualified Rental Agreement formulated to meet the public sector requirements as stipulated within the Public Management Finance Act 1 of 1999 (“PMFA”) and Supply Chain Management (“SCM”) Regulations of Governments.
The Government division supplies Asset finance for Municipalities, Parastatals, Provincial and National Government. Dealing with most Government Departments, Merchant West has access to funds for government transactions. Services also include ratings advisory services and financial stability assessments.
